Unrestricted Funds offer the broadest giving option,
allowing grants to be made to wherever our professional
staff determines our community's needs are the greatest.
Field of Interest Funds give you the ability to
support areas of special interest or concern. The Foundation
will identify the local organizations making an impact
on the areas that best achieve your charitable intent.
Donor-Advised Funds allow you to suggest what programs
and projects you are interested in supporting, while you
avoid the costs and administrative demands of managing
your own charitable foundation. The members of our Board
of Directors make the final decisions.
Donor Designated Funds let you support a specific
agency or charitable organization, with those causes receiving
income as long as they are in existence. Agency Endowment
Funds are established by nonprofit organizations, enlisting
the Community Foundation to invest endowment money. This
assists the organization with investment managementcreating
long-term financial security, while relieving the agency
of time-consuming management responsibilities.
Scholarship Funds let you provide educational opportunities
to local students, according to the objectives and criteria
you set. Funds may be designed to honor the memory of
a loved one, send a student to your alma mater or support
a student in pecific areas of study.
Community Funds are used to meet current community
needs and are not permanent funds.
Donor-Named Funds ensure that your name, or the
name of another, will always be remembered and linked
with philanthropy. These funds become part of our unrestricted
community endowment fund which targets all grant areas.
Grant decisions are made by the Board of Trustees.
